Connecting to hotels via APIs or managing direct contracts is notoriously complex. intuitive created the survey to gain more insight into the current landscape and validate what they’re seeing within their 50 new
iVectorOne customers, as well as delving deeper into how technology can simplify the complexities of hotel
inventory management in an ever-changing industry.

The report covers the challenges around connectivity, the key trends and also gives critical insight from those surveyed on what the future holds within the industry and this complex landscape.

83% of respondents have said that they are investing in technology just to ‘keep pace with API connectivity’, whilst 4 out of 5 refer to the need for ‘increased access to more travel product.’ 63% of those surveyed have also increased their Channel Manager connectivity in the last three years.

intuitive have provided some recommendations for OTAs and Tour Operators on how to create an effective strategy around the hotel sourcing and connectivity scene.

intuitive have just launched the latest version of their iVectorOne API which allows travel companies to have full flexibility by cherry picking the services they want and easily integrating them into their own reservation system, all via one API.

“ We received a great response to the survey so thank you to all of those who contributed. Hotel sourcing
technology is a key strength of ours and an area of significant investment, so it’s fantastic to get this external input and validation. The results from the survey have provided us with a thorough review of the landscape and identified some key trends – some of which we expected but nonetheless, we are still surprised by the prevalence of them. We encourage anyone who works within this area to download the report on our website to read the full story.”
