Digital Sales Manager

Salary £80k-£90k OTE

Location Remote / Flexible (International)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a hands-on sales and marketing professional with digital or SaaS experience to own, develop and grow our new hotel switch subscription product (iVectorSwitch) within the travel industry, internationally.

Summary of role

The role reports to the Commercial Director.

This pivotal role will be responsible for targeting and closing business within the tour operator, online travel agent, wholesaler and airline sectors. Joining at the outset you will support the product launch and drive the evolution of the product positioning, targeting and pricing strategy.

In addition to the key sales skills required for the role, you will have experience and contacts within the travel and hospitality sector, technical acumen and a good understanding of digital marketing techniques.

Working with the Commercial Director and Marketing Manager you will help develop an international go-to-market strategy and will be responsible for its execution and achieving sales targets.

iVectorSwitch will have new and unique features that will be competitive versus the incumbent players and the proposed flexible commercial model will open up new markets. We see significant international opportunity for the product.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Evolve and execute a sales and marketing plan to achieve target
  • Build a database of prospects
  • Create the initial contact (direct, proactive approach or digital marketing)
  • Manage the pre sales process from pitch to closure
  • Produce commercial proposals and negotiate contract terms
  • Initiate and contribute to sales material and collateral
  • Implement proactive measures and initiatives to increase sales

Key skills, experience and capabilities

Essential

    • Experience of a SaaS environment, or of a subscription based sales model
    • 2+ years of sales experience within the travel and hospitality industry
    • International market knowledge
    • Previous success in target-driven, lead generating roles.
    • Hunter sales traits
    • Experience of digital sales and marketing
    • Some knowledge and affinity for technology solutions in travel
    • Self-starter with ability to work effectively remotely

      • Experience of selling to senior management and C-level
      • Business development experience selling B2B products
      • Specific knowledge of the accommodation API supply landscape
      • Existing network within the target market
      • Start-up mindset and strategic thinker
